AC pos spank central FC 4-0 in reschedule Match

AC Port of Spain spanked Central FC 4-0 in one of the rescheduled games that was postponed earlier in the tournament because of a waterlogged outfield. The match was played on Wednesday at the La Horquetta Recreation Ground.

Central defender Seon Thomas who started off the campaign as AC POS skipper opened the scoring in the 37th minute giving them the 1-0 lead which lasted until the second period.

National midfielder Duane Muckette extended the lead to 2-0 for the “Town Boys” in the 55th then his central midfield partner John Paul Rochford made it 3-0 four minutes later.

Veteran utility and national futsal player Jameel Neptune rounded off the scoring in the 65th minute, ending the game 4-0.

In the other match, Central Soccer World recorded a narrow one nil victory over Cunupia FC. The lone goal from Simon Joseph in the 66th minute was good enough to seal the victory. The result meant that CSW climbed above Cunupia FC in sixth position by one point with one match left in the league.
