Deportivo Pf Move to fourth, mc clean hat-trick sets up easy win

Deportivo Point Fortin scored two goals in either half to register a comfortable 4-0 win over Real West Fort United to claim the fourth spot on the table.

Playing at the Arima Velodrome on Saturday, Akinola George opened the scoring in the fourth minute by tapping in the parried save from West Fort`s goalkeeper Jacques Poon- Lewis.

It was yet another showdown between Poon-Lewis and George this time at the penalty spot. Despite a valiant effort from the goalie who guessed correctly, George got his double in the 40th minute and the two-nil lead.

Veteran Hughton Hector was on his way to goal before his teammate Andrei Pacheco highjacked the ball to score the third goal in the 55th minute. However, Hector got on the scoresheet when he tucked away an Isiah Garcia cross in the 74th minute to seal the 4-0 victory.

Sedal Mc Clean scored a second half hat-trick to lift AC Port of Spain to a resounding 6-1 victory over Moruga FC.

National midfielder Michel Poon- Angeron bagged the first goal of the match in the 39th minute and the 1-0 lead lasted until the second half. Saeed Charles added to the lead in the 49th minute then six minutes later, AC`s most impressive player of the season Che Benny made it 3-0.

The Mc Clean show started with his first goal in the 68th minute followed by his double ten minutes later. The doubt of scoring his hat-trick was growing because of the lack of time remaining in the match but he got the important goal in 90+1. Atiba Charles was able to get on the scoresheet for Moruga in the 73rd minute.
