A quintet of Terminix La Horquetta Rangers players was selected in the provisional squad for the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup in July. The players selected are midfielders Aikim Andrews, Jamal Creighton, Keston George, Isaiah Lee and utility player Ross Russell Jr.
The club who didn’t have much representation over the last three years mentioned that their issue was not giving approvals to their players to represent their country but releasing players outside of the mandated FIFA window.
The Soca Warriors will be in training from June 20 – 22 in a local residential camp with the final 23-man squad being selected six days later by the newly appointed head coach, Angus Eve. The former Soca Warrior, Eve who replaced Terry Fenwick a week ago, received the approval from the Managing Director Richard Ferguson for the players to join the camp after a letter was sent to him from team manager Adrian Romain.

In the letter, Romain stated, “Our Men’s Senior National Team has qualified to participate in the Preliminary Stage of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup which will take place in the United States and starts on July 2nd with our First Round Qualifier against Montserrat to be played at the DRV PNK Stadium in Ft Lauderdale, USA.”
Romain added, “Should we win that game, we advance to the Second Round of the qualification scheduled for July 6 at the same venue. Once successful, we advance to the Group Stage of the Tournament which starts on July 10th and will run until the Gold Cup final on August 1st.”
The letter concluded, “I write to notify you that Aikim, Jamal, Keston, Isaiah and Ross Jr have been selected in our provisional squad. The actual twenty-three-man Final Squad will be confirmed no later than Monday 28th June 2021 after which travel details will be finalized for those selected.”
