Former national midfielders Hughton Hector and Ataulla Guerra scored two goals each for their team Deportivo Point Fortin and Terminix La Horquetta Rangers as they won 6-1 and 6-2 respectively on Friday night as Round Two of the Ascension Football Tournament kicked off at the La Horquetta Recreation Ground.
Rangers playing against a youthful Central FC got their first goal of the match from an own goal from Kwami Huyghew in the sixth minute. Central FC played an inspiring first half of football and it showed with a goal in 33rd minute from Leondardo Dacosta to tie the game 1-1.

In the second period, Rangers outplayed their opponents scoring three goals in 5 minutes. Striker Kadeem Corbin led the charge bagging a double in the 50th and 52nd. Former US-based Guerra got his first item in the 55th to make it 4-1 then winger Aikim Andrews made it 5-1 at the hour mark. The silky-smooth Guerra got his brace with ten minutes left in regulation time. However, the fighting Central FC added to their tally in the 86th minute to complete the 6-2 score-line in favour of the home team who remain on top of the table.
The evergreen Hector slotted home the first goal for Deportivo in the 22nd against struggling Cunupia FC. The flood gates opened as Isaiah Hudson doubled the lead five minutes later and Omari Baird slotted in the third goal 60 seconds later.
The second half followed the same trend as the first with Hector getting his second goal just four minutes after the resumption. Veteran midfielder Andrei Pacheco scored his team`s fifth goal in the 66th minute and Ezekiel Kesar made it 6-0 two minutes later. Cunupia FC got a consolation goal in the 82nd minute to end the game 6-1 for the Southern team.
