Police FC is keeping the pressure on Terminix La Horquetta Rangers for the top spot in the Ascension Football Tournament after yet another solid performance following a 5-1 triumph over AC Port of Spain on Sunday at the St James Barracks.
AC`s goalkeeper Regaleo Holder misplaced a pass to an alert Mickaeel Gordon who collected and exquisitely chipped Holder for the 1-0 lead for the home team in the second minute.
The Lawmen went up 2-0 in the 34th minute with an own goal after Maurice Ford slashed a crossed ball into his own net. Police`s Kareem Freitas caught goalkeeper Holder off his line yet again with a left-footed lob shot for the third goal in the 68th minute.
Joel Lewis added the fourth goal in the 79th while Gordon bagged his second and his team`s fifth goal in the 85th minute. Jayden Powell scored a consolation goal for AC in the last minute of play to end the match 5-1.
