Rangers go Marching on

Terminix La Horquetta Rangers have gone five points clear at top of the Ascension Football Tournament table following a 2-1 victory over Central Soccer World on Friday at the La Horquetta Recreation Grounds. Rangers began the second round tied with Defence Force, but the Army team drew and lost their last two matches.

Former national midfielder Ataullah Guerra who is in a hot streak of form opened the scoring in the 31st minute. The creative player is now the joint top scorer in the tournament with 10 goals. Kadeem Corbin who is not too far off from Guerra with 8 goals, scored the second goal at the hour mark for the 2-0 lead.

Central SW scored in the 90+4 to add some respectability to the score-line. Simon Paul`s fantastic curling free kick was one of the goals of the season.

Deportivo Point Fortin impressive performances continued with a comfortable 2-0 win against Central FC. Deportivo`s Isaiah Hudson was the scorer of the opening goal in the ninth minute of play. The lead stood until the very end of the match when Nartheon Watson made in 2-0 in the 90+2 minute of the match.
